How We Work

Our first meeting is a chance for you to find out more about us, and for us to find out more about you and your needs.

When we meet, we’d love to show you some of the work we’ve done in the past.

Based on what you’ve told us about your project so far, we’ll share our ideas about how to make your project a success.

We’ll ask any questions needed to get a clear picture of the project scope and any technical, design, or organizational requirements.

We’ll submit a written proposal of our solution detailing our approach, planned deliverables, and pricing, and we’ll answer any questions you have.

Once we’ve agreed on a solution, we’ll create a formal statement of work.

We’ll get the project started by gathering the key players on our team and yours so we can all introduce ourselves. We’ll introduce the project, address goals and concerns, and discuss individual roles and the project timeline.

You’ll give us any existing materials you would like to leverage for the course: this might be PowerPoint slides, print-based materials, instructor-led training materials, or scenarios, for instance.

An instructional designer will meet with any Subject Matter Experts you identify in your organization to ask open questions and get a well-rounded picture of your training needs and messages for the coruse.

The instructional designer will plan a strategy for training that will engage your learners and meet your goals. This may be provided to you in a design document for review before actual course storyboarding begins.

The instructional designer will create storyboards for the course that will include all course content and planned interactivity. In some cases, the graphic designer may also include sketches or descriptions of proposed graphics. Storyboards are usually in Microsoft Word or PowerPoint and are the plan for the functional course.

A professional editor will review all course materials for clarity and grammatical correctness.

A graphic designer will create an overall look and feel for the new course, create page layouts, and select photography and graphics for inclusion in the course.

Depending on the needs of your project, our media team will create custom multimedia elements for your course, purchase them from stock libraries, or coordinate with your internal branding and multimedia groups.

Media developers skilled in HTML development will build course pages and functionality to match the storyboard and graphic design plans. Programmers will create the course navigation system and, if appropriate, incorporate functionality to integrate the training with your learning management system.

Our internal testers will do a full functional and graphical review of the new training before we send it to you for review.
